Th e article discusses the concept of “the spatiotemporal model of the infl uence of environmental and eco-cultural protest on the use of urban space” and its theoretical components. Th e main objective of the research is to identify the spatiotemporal models of the impact of protest on the use of the urban space of Leningrad-St. Petersburg. Keyword research is the foundation of the factual basis of environmental and eco-cultural confl icts and their analysis. Th e analysis used the theory of the “centerperiphery” projected onto urban space. It was found that environmental and eco-cultural protest form a special structural use of urban space that can become the context of possible confl ict resolution
between the participants of protest activities. Th e article also provides practical recommendations for sound policies on the use of urban space.
