Abstract

This article is about research into the irregularities of the thermohaline structure and dynamical systems capable of carrying them over long distances. Th e paper also contains qualitative and quantitative characteristics of these phenomena together with the fi ndings on the possible impact of these mechanisms on the freshwater balance of the Arctic Ocean.
