New data on the age Kuchcinski formation (Lower Cretaceous) of the Mountain Crimea

These new paleontological data on the age of the Kuchcinski formation, which is spread widely across Southwestern and Central Crimea. Th e ammonite Malbosiceras cf. malbosi (Pictet) was fi rst identified and described as lying in an average subformation, the Kuchcinski formation, near the village of Mezgorie (Central Crimea). On this basis, this part of that section can be referred to the upper berriasian boissieri zone.
